OXYGEN
Ceramics, the core of Patricia Leon’s sculptures are profound beautiful pieces. They are abstract and concrete at the same time. Organic fragments that cannot be placed on a map as they disrupt any deterministic view of nature from the perspective we are used to. Patricia creates from emptiness, organisms that breathe into the world, fragments that seem rescued from the centre of the earth or the deep sea.

MERGE DIVERGE
My vision, my aesthetics sensibility has been shaped by the beauty and force of the natural environment surrounding me: The Ecuadorian Andes. The rhythm, the profound spaces, the texture and colour has marked my unconsciousness. The ceramic forms are a synthesis of personal exploration during these MA process.

CHULLA VIDA - ONE LIFE
I take a look inwards to create a balance of my own journey. Life; seen this way: from the limit perspective, from our own situations, from our bodies and death itself.

HIGH TEMPERATURE - FOUR ELEMENTS
This high-temperature ceramic proposal presents an abstract and concrete vision of the four natural elements: air, water, earth and ice. We see, feel and palpate them. They are so part of our being that we often forget them.
