For 26 years my ceramic practice has been marked by a constant search of ways to express sensations and emotions, those intangible properties that can only be summoned and evoked in the mind of the viewer.

Now I have come to realise what lies behind that search.

 

My vision, my aesthetic sensibility has been shaped by the beauty and force of the natural environment surrounding me.

 

My passion towards ceramics has been constant. Its different possibilities and transformation capacity have given me the opportunity to research about materials such as: volcanic ashes, sands and fireclays, which can be easily found in Ecuador. With them, I can create a multitude of textures, which are essential in the creation and development of my work as a ceramist.
